Low voltage power line communication system with low cost, wide distribution and simple access, has aroused scholars' wide concern and become a vital issue due to its promising application. G3-PLC standard can achieve efficient and stable transmission of data information and can also implement low voltage power line communication by utilizing these characteristics of flexible design, short development cycle and parallel processing of FPGA. And meanwhile, it indeed plays an increasingly important role in improving algorithm efficiency and tackling with the problems of low system integration, poor expansibility and expensive price.Transmission characteristics channel in low voltage power line are analyzed, especially illustrating channel's impedance characteristics, multipath fading and ambient noise. Then, the channel model is established by virtue of channel characteristics, and the system structure and target parameters is also determined according to the relevant rules of G3-PL standard. And next, modulation and demodulation of OFDM is carried out on of Altera FPGA.In addition, the Verilog is taken advantage of dealing with program simulation verification, and the real-time signal of OFDM system's are captured by logic analyzer Signal Tap II. On all of the above, the correctness and effectiveness is truly verified about module design of modulation and demodulation.After the design requirements and specificating has been described in detail, peripheral circuitry of the system is laid out by using the TI's chip AFE031, including the analog front end circuit and coupling transformer. Finally, each subsystem of low voltage power line system is integrated and debugged. Use simulink simulation platform to verify its correctness.
