The problem of energy is the eternal topic of human beings. With the rapid consumption of non-renewable energy, how to save oil, coal and use other new energy have become a pressing matter of the moment. With low carbon and environmental protection, the new energy electric vehicles become a new direction of development of the automobile. So, the related facilities must be carried out simultaneously, this can develop faster and farther. In this paper, the overall scheme of electric vehicle AC charging pile is studied. Based on the PLC technology, the hardware part of charging pile is designed. The paper further designed the program of the control system and touch screen control interface. At last, the system test was carried out. The details are as follows:Firstly, we studied the hardware of the system and equipment selection of AC charging pile. The hardware part of the control system includes the selection and design of PLC controller, human-computer interaction, IC card Read-Write module, energy measurement module, printing module, and designed the control guided circuit and the electrical protection circuit. This is in order to achieve the functions of human-computer interaction, non-control IC card payment, control the output of electric energy, receipt printing, electric leakage and over-voltage and so on. This system can meet the needs of users recharge their electric vehicle.Secondly, we designed the software program of the control system, mainly including two parts: PLC program and making touch screen. We use the PS501 programming software to achieve the communications of PLC and IC card Read-Write, PLC and electric energy meter, PLC and touch screen. This can realize the IC card management, and charge control, etc. Based on the Touch-Win tool, complete the charging pile interface design and communicating with the printer, touch screen and printer embedded communication is simple and reliable. It is easy to implement.Finally, we debugged and analyzed the main modules and the whole prototype of AC charging pile. The test shows that the design of the system can complete the function of AC charging pile. So, the control system is effective and feasible.
