With the development of photology and electronic technology, the image processing system used to replace human vision has been widely used in many fields, such as system security, military confrontation, industrial inspection, biomedical and so on. At the same time, the requirements on image processing system also become increasingly higher, such as faster speed, lower power consumption, more powerful functions and so on. In order to comply with the development trend of image processing, rhe paper designs a image processing system based on FPGA and PCI.The paper introduces the hardware design of the image processing syste emphatically, including the design of schematic diagram and PCB of the power supply module, image acquisition module, a core processor FPGA module, data storage module, PCI data transmission module. The designed of schematic diagram focuses on the research of power supply module, the PCB design focuses on the layout of key devices and the wiring of the key signals. In addition, the system contains many high-speed devices, they are vulnerable to signal interference, for example, the signal quality is affected by the signal reflection crosstalk, resonance of power simultaneous switching noise (SSN) and so on. In order to prevent the interference, the paper implements the SI simulations on the key signals of DDR2, and completes the resonance simulations on power system and the SSN simulations on the eight signal lines of between the FPGA and DDR2. thr design of the circuitry is adjusted based on the simulation results. to ensure the requirements on the quality of signals. At last, the paper conducts a comprehensive test on the overall function of the system The results show that the system can efficiently complete image acquisition, pre-processing and transmission functions and achieve the desired design goals.
