There hasn't been a good explanation for why nonlinear circuits exist some complex phenomena according to linear circuit theory, some existing nonlinear circuit knowledge can't even explain these phenomena.Therefore, the research of nonlinear circuits is becoming more and more important. Aiming at this problem, an improved method, which is called Scatter Points method, is presented after reading articles and learning the analysis method of nonlinear circuits. Combined with the method, this paper designs a nonlinear circuits running states monitoring system based on virtual instrument. The monitoring system can show the waveform of signal, at the same time, the phase diagram of any two signals and 3D-image of any three signals can be shown. Through LabVIEW programing, Scatter Points method is realized, which forms Scatter Points diagram. By observing Scatter Points diagram, the states of nonlinear circuit can be analyzed easier. To validate the effectiveness of the monitoring system, the experiments that the monitoring system designed in this paper is used to monitor the running states of Chua's circuit, which is a typical nonlinear circuit. The experimental results show that the monitoring system can not only show the running states of nonlinear circuits from multi-angle, but also make stability analyses of nonlinear circuit easier.
