Nowadays,China is seriously lack of water resources,the agricultural water consumption is extremely large,and it is particularly important to solve the problem of rational irrigation and improve the efficiency of water resources,therefore,soil moisture detection is of great significance.In addition,at present the most commonly used in soil moisture measurement is discrete sensor or drying method,which is non-network and inefficient.Therefore,it will be very helpful to realize a networked, low cost,high precision soil moisture detection device.This paper expounds the basic sensing principle of FDR,and the relationship between soil moisture and soil permittivity,developed a kind of soil moisture detection device based on the FDR technology(Frequency Domain Reflectometry)combined with ZigBee wireless transmission technology,which is small error,low cost,large-scale networking.Then calibrated and tested the device,tested to ZigBee for transmission,and design a set of PC software online monitoring of soil moisture.The result showed that this device has the advantages of small error,low cost and convenient operation,the combination of ZigBee and realized wireless transmission and intelligent soil moisture,bringing the certain application value.
