A Comparative Analysis Of The Professional Ethics Of Librarians In Several Countries

Librarian professional ethics code, is about the library staff should perform the professional conduct and the completion of their professional responsibilities after the professional rights of the system. Formulation, promulgation and implementation of codes of ethics for librarians has two aspects of significance:a library by criterion of social commitment to provide services and according to duty; the second is the library to borrow by guidelines to restrict the librarian's professional behavior and guide the librarian professional spirit. Firstly, this paper introduces the connotation, content and essence of Librarian's professional ethics from the perspective of the professional ethics of librarians. Secondly, expounding and analyzing the content of the United States, Canada, Australia, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, South Korea and China ten National Library of Librarian's professional moral standards, and on this basis, the category analysis and comparison the similarities and differences between the comparative analysis. Finally, summarized the Enlightenment of foreign librarians professional ethics in our country, from the perspective of three library rights and intellectual freedom, the protection of readers' privacy and the public interest and librarians' rights and obligations were specific instructions and expression.
