The Realistic Dilemma And Rational Connotation Of China's Archives Professional Ethics In The New Situation

In 2014,the Opinions on Strengthening and Improving Archives Work under the New Situation,issued jointly by the Central Office and the State Council Office,declared that archives work has entered a new development situation.Under the new development situation,archives management is facing many challenges."With the gradual establishment of the archives management system and the status and role of archives work,the importance of archives work has been continuously improved,and the scope of influence has been expanding.However,under the existing conditions,whether the archives work can fully meet the challenges and further promote the development of archives work has become a key issue.At present,the development status of archival professional ethics can not fully meet the needs of archival work.This kind of realistic predicament mainly comes from two aspects of pressure.As far as the archives work itself is concerned,at this stage,China has not yet promulgated the relevant normative system of archives professional ethics,and the binding force of laws and regulations on archives professional ethics is not obvious.From the perspective of social environment,the recognition of archives profession is limited,which leads to the following problems:insufficient reserve of archives professionals and low awareness of social archives.What reasonable connotations should archival professional ethics have in order to promote the development of archival profession?First of all,archivists themselves should respect archival work,which is an important prerequisite for carrying out archival work.Secondly,maintaining the security of archives is the basic bottom line of archives ethics and the lifeline of archives work.Without the security of archives,there will be no long-term development of archives management.Secondly,improving the ability of archives service is an important content of archives professional ethics,and also an important way and means to enhance the awareness of social archives.By improving the level of service,we can gain the recognition of the public,thus enhancing the attraction of archives work and providing long-term talent power for the development of archives work.Finally,the development of diversified professions under the new situation provides new opportunities for the development of archives profession.Archives work can find new growth points in the development of archives work in the process of integration,and ensure the close integration of archives work and society.
