Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Professional Ethics Of University Librarians

A university library is the window for the construction of socialist spiritual civilization, the center of the literature information service. University libraries accept the challenge of the time with the changing of the science and technology, their hardware construction greatly enriched and improved including library collection resources and building environment. The hardware construction and software construction of university libraries are the wings of the university library. Because of the development of hardware construction in university libraries, software construction needs to be further strengthened. University librarian professional ethics is the core of the software construction of university library, which goes throughout the work of the university library. The university librarian( hereinafter referred to as "librarian"), who not only spreads knowledge and information as a teacher for university education career but also provides the readers with diversified and personalized information service as a navigator. Librarian good professional ethics accomplishment can provide important support for the benign operation in university library. At first this paper discusses the research background, purposes and significance of this article, analyses the present situation of the domestic and foreign research, research methods and innovative points. On the base of explaining the relevant concepts of librarians’ professional ethics and standards, summarizes the basic contents, prominent characteristics of librarians’ professional ethics and importance. It points out the existing problems and the reasons of the librarians’ professional ethics on the research of university librarian professional ethics, knows the really reasons. At last, it shows the constructive advice and finds out the ways and measures of the solutions to university librarian professional ethics problems.
