The Flipped Classroom changes the traditional classroom teaching model.It makes students learn new knowledge at home by videos and materials.The homework in the traditional classroom teaching model,such as exercises,inquiry activities,group activities,and etc.,becomes the main content during the class.The students will finish all the activities with the teachers' guidance by using the knowledge which they learned before the class.The Flipped Classroom benefits personalized teaching and procedural knowledge learning.Which is the most important is that students will become the leader of their own learning.This research teases the theoretical frame of the Flipped Classroom by searching and analysing materials.Then,this research studies the essential feature of The Flipped Classroom.After that,the research tries to design a Flipped English Class for primary students and finally puts it into use.At last,this research offers some reliable strategies for teachers who want to flip their classes.The thesis basically comprises six chapters.Chapter1:Introduction.The research is based on the second education reforming which is pushed by the development of the technology.It aims at offering the strategies by using the document research and the case research.Chapter 2:Definitions and Theories.The core concepts of flipped classroom,teaching mode and teaching design are clarified.Flipped classroom is based on independent learning theory,cooperative learning theory,research theory and humanistic learning theory.Chapter 3:The basic characteristicsof The Flipped Classroom.This paper analyzes the background of flipped classroom teaching mode,the teaching idea of flipped classroom teaching mode and the significance of flipped classroom teaching mode in English teaching in primary school,and provides a basis for teaching design based on flipped classroom.Chapter 4:English teaching design process based on The Flipped classroom in Grade 4.Based on the theoretical basis and practical basis of the research,the paper constructs a complete set of teaching design models for the actual needs of the primary classroom in China,the needs of teachers and the characteristics of the textbooks,which mainly include design principles,design process,implementationand inspection stageand improvement and improvement stage.Chapter 5:Teaching design case of English flipped classroom in fourth grade.The paper uses the construction of agood teaching design model,chooses the contents of the Module 1 textbook of Grade4 of Oxford English Shanghai edition,and designs a complete flipped classroom for reference.Chapter 6:Suggestionson the implementation of English flipped classroom teaching designin Grade 4 of primary school.It has been suggested in three terms of pre-class,during-class and after-class.
