Based on brain science theory,simulating the brain functions,the mind map can guide the thinking,exercise the brain thinking ability,and help to construct the knowledge structure,to form a set of blocks,be good for memory,.Because of its unique structure and characteristics of the knowledge hierarchy at all levels,Mind mapping is also very suitable for study of declarative knowledge.So,it is of great significance to the cultivation of innovative talents for putting mind maps into college teaching.On the basis of the combination of theory,this paper mainly researched three questions: one is how to use mind map better and integrate into the teaching of college physics;the second is to investigate whether the university physics teaching based on mind mapping can improve students’ interest in learning physics;the third is to explore whether the university physics teaching based on mind mapping can improve the student’s academic record,whether it has different influence on students of the gender.This study firstly try understanding of mind mapping theory and research situation at home and abroad by reading literature and data access,in order to provide the theory basis for applying mind map in college physics teaching;Secondly we learned of the present situation of the university physics learning through questionnaire survey,for the purpose of providing basis in facts the necessity of implementation based on mind mapping in university physics teaching.Survey shows that the students’ interest of the major in the university physics is general,most don’t do preview and review,and performance is not very active in class,most students seek efficient note-taking;Based on the research of the teaching materials and theory,the paper analyzed the feasibility of mind map teaching in university thermal physics,and the mind mapping was applied to the specific teaching process,such as classroom notes,concept and law course teaching.Finally,according to the questionnaire and test scores before and after,we measured the teaching effect based on mind mapping in Thermal physics.Teaching practice shows that,applying the mind mapping to student notes and assignments evaluation,may help students to organize and review the knowledge,to cultivate students’ self-study ability and thinking ability;The mind map college physics teaching,can stimulate students’ interest in learning,improve the students’ classroom enthusiasm;by using mind map teaching strategy,Teachers can effectively improve the students’ grades.The experimental results also show that there is no obvious difference in the mind map teaching strategy on the influence of different gender students.
