The text-selection system, knowledge system, reading-aid system and the exercise system together made up the inner structure of the senior high school Chinese textbook. Thereinto, the reading-aid system was a bridge to connect text, teaching and curriculum standard. The content of the reading-aid system was the complementary for text, which reflected in teaching and committed to curriculum standard. Its research was not only for text but also for teaching.This paper regarded the Classical Chinese reading-aid system of PEP edition senior high school Chinese textbook as the research object, firstly discussed the reason and significance of this topic, then illustrated three definitions of the reading-aid system, Chinese textbook and Classical Chinese. On this basis, this paper categorically studied classical Chinese reading-aid system from reading-aid system function and came up with its existing problems, finally put forward the appropriate suggestions to these four kinds of reading-aid materials. Therefore, this paper was divided into four parts to illustrate:The first part mainly discussed the origin and significance of Classical Chinese reading-aid system of PEP edition senior high school Chinese textbook(Compulsory). Focused on two points:the first one was the significance for choosing reading-aid system as the research object - reading-aid system was the best way to reflect editor’s intention, clear curriculum standard and also was the important basis for guiding students from passive learning mode to independent inquiry learning mode. So it was necessary to study it The second one was the reason why author choosing the classical Chinese reading-aid system as the research object- Classical Chinese reading-aid system was more comprehensive, the information was richer and teaching was strongest. Therefore, the classical Chinese reading-aid system was more typical. In addition, the results of previous studies were summarized and analyzed, and the author pointed out the research content and research methods.The second part discussed relevant thesis concepts and stated relevant theoretical basis. In order to make a convenience for research, this part defined three concepts of reading-aid system, text and textbook, Classical Chinese. The definition of the reading-aid system came from its historical origin and the author explored its fundamental value and potential significance. The text and textbook were the clear research object which defined the broad sense and narrow sense of teaching materials, meanwhile it made a simple introduction to the the overall layout of current PEP edition teaching materials. As for Classical Chinese was from the view of teaching point and clear its related concepts. Because the teaching material research needed theory support, this part also stated the related theory basis which mainly including the advance organizer theory, the construction principle study theory and the thinking development theory.The third part made a further detail analysis of the Classical Chinese reading-aid system and put forward its existing problems. This was paper’s core part. This part divided classical Chinese reading-aid system into four categories and respectively studied, such as the annotation type, the prompting type, the illustration type and the exercise type. Thereinto, the annotation type became the key study object because of its large proportion in Classical Chinese reading-aid system, strongest dependency reading-aid materials for teachers and students. The author analyzed from its origin, principle and category, at last summarized three problems including wrong annotation, without annotation, too much useless annotation. As for the prompting type, illustration type and exercise type were classified from different perspectives and finally summed up its existing problems. For example, the prompting reading-aid materials had problems of bare content and inexact compiling. The illustration type had problems of single content, rough picture quality and unreasonable layout. Exercise type had problems of too large humanities proportion, less text’s objectivity research and without differences when setting problems.The fourth part mainly provide improvement suggestions to some problems in the third part. Focus on the various types of reading-aid materials, the specific recommendations were put forward to solve specific issues. The suggestion for annotation was that compile strictly, improve accuracy and reduce whole sentence translation. The suggestion for prompting was that enrich content and improve openness. The suggestion for illustration was that arrange pictures reasonable, strengthen supervision institute and enrich illustration content. The suggestion for illustration was that humanities should be equal to instrumental and paid attention to detail research.In this paper, the interception of independent unit of the reading-aid system was regarded as the research object, from "typical" of the Classical Chinese reading-aid system, the author used a variety of methods to provide appropriate recommendations for the reading-aid system content and layout. As an example to provide some new ideas for the compiling of Classical Chinese reading-aid system of PEP edition senior high school Chinese textbook.
