From the 1990 s, the development of 3S technology has entered a peak period along with the development of information technology. Due to the deep development of 3S technology, the 3S technology has a universal application. The 3S technology, as a means of secondary technical education in high school geography teaching, has many advantages,such as an flexible image information and a large database. So the 3S technology also has also a broad development prospects in teaching high school geography class. The study has a deep research on the theoretical basis of 3S technology in the applied teaching high school geography, the application of 3S technology, the assisted teaching function, the teaching design and the teaching conditions of implementation.The methods that used in this study are mainly literature study and survey analysis.Through a large number of reading and the analysis of the literature and data network at home and abroad, the study has researched high school geography teaching materials based the theory of constructivism, cognitive development theory and the theory of multiple intelligences. Besides these, the study has combined the relevant geographic teaching practice with the 3S technology software proficiency, as well as its operation in the geographic teaching practice. And then, the study finds the points of integration in high school geography teaching and 3S technology-related functions. On the basis of further analysis of study in high school geography textbooks, the study has a deep research about the 3S technology in high school geography teaching process.The study is divided into four chapters: The first chapter is an overview section that describes the concept 3S, analysis of 3S function in the teaching and the way of 3S in teaching high school geography the second chapter talks about the theory of 3S technology in high school geography teaching, and analyzes the necessity of 3S technology in teaching high school geography the third chapter is the designed questionnaire and the analysis of the questionnaire results. All these are based on the investigation and data analysis of 3S technology in teaching high school geography the fourth chapter is the 3S technology strategies and the case designs in high school geography teaching. This part is about the 3S technology countermeasures in high school geography teaching, and designs the appropriate teaching cases.
