The goal of education is to cultivate people who are comprehensive, physically and mentally harmonious. However, in many years of contact with high school students, I found that many students have a high IQ, EQ is low, the lack of normal phenomenon. In the long run, the students not only easy to have psychological problems, but also does not conform to the quality education of "comprehensive education" training objectives. Therefore, to shape the physical and mental health, the quality of a comprehensive future social successor, EQ education has become an essential part of. Music is the art of emotion, the most good at expressing, communication of human emotions; emotional intelligence is mainly refers to the emotional cognitive, emotional control, etc.. The music the "soul of art", people with open closed heart, to enable students to fully experience the beauty of music in music is rich in the emotion, and different shapes, let the students feeling in the world more colorful and more beautiful, resulting in virtually improve students EQ, realize the comprehensive development of the students is our goal.In this paper, from the perspective of the middle school music teachers, to cultivate students' emotional intelligence in the music teaching of the relevant issues were discussed. Firstly, the paper analyses the value and significance of EQ education. Secondly, through the search for relevant information and combined with the students actual from two aspects of theory and practice, discusses the necessity and feasibility of EQ Education in middle school music teaching in the development of. Finally in the music teaching practice to explore the EQ Education in a variety of ways and methods: improve the emotional intelligence of teachers for students to establish a good example; in music appreciation teaching in cultivating students' emotional intelligence; in practice the music rich student's emotion, to enhance students' EQ; the history of music education and cultivation of students' emotional intelligence; use of psychological counseling activities to cultivate students' emotional intelligence; carry out music therapy activities to develop the students' EQ.
