The “geometric intuition” is listed as one of the ten core concepts in “Compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 Edition)”(hereinafter referred to as the “curriculum standards(2011 Edition)”) and was given a clear definition for the first time. We often say that math comes from life, but higher than life. Many of life's problems after abstraction, likely from the background of life, its own into the abstract math problems. However, due to out of the actual background of life, when the students solve this math problem is encountered great difficulties, make students lose to the enthusiasm of learning mathematics, finally affects the student to the study of mathematics curriculum. In the process of research, based on the geometry of Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development, Fan Kier thinking level theory and professor Todd lid's concrete and the abstract relation theory as the theoretical basis, mainly adopts the literature method, interview method and questionnaire survey. Through the literature review, first understand the connotation of the geometry, present research status, development strategy, and "mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition)" to "geometry" in the specific requirements; Then through test questionnaire and interview students, understand the current situation of the development of the student's ability of geometry; Finally by using SPSS software for statistical data for statistical analysis, the level of junior middle school students in geometric intuitive development on the existing problems and corresponding solutions are given. Through the analysis of data, this studies the following conclusions:1?Through the analysis of the data, can be found that most students geometric intuitive ability development level in accordance with the requirements of national curriculum standard.2?Junior middle school grade one students use geometry to solve the problems of the comprehensive and practical ability is weak3?Junior middle school first grade boys and girls on the geometric intuitive ability development level are not significant gender differences.4?Geometric intuitive ability development situation and the students of grade one junior school students in a significant positive correlation between math grades.Based on the above research results, this study that the cultivation of student's geometry to improve student performance. In the concrete teaching, in the "number and algebra", "graphics and geometry", "statistics and probability", "comprehensive and practice" in every learning areas, teachers have to pass the practical mathematical problems pay attention to the training of geometry to the student, to strengthen the cultivation of student's geometric intuitive ability. So as to improve students use geometric intuitive find math problems, mathematics problems, understand mathematical problems and mathematical problem solving skills, improve the students' mathematics performance in most, arouse the enthusiasm of the students' learning mathematics, for students to learn mathematics knowledge to lay a solid foundation.Focus on this study is to understand the current situation of the development of students' geometry, how to develop the students' ability of geometrical intuition in teaching also puts forward some Suggestions, but because my ability is limited, on how to develop the students' ability of geometry, there are still many problems need to study and discussion. Hope this research can play the role of the topic, in order to teachers on how to develop the students' ability of geometry to provide reference.
