In recent years, under the overall background of the reform and enrollment expansion in the master admission, Career problems faced by graduate students gradually increased. And the employment situation is becoming increasingly severe. At present, the domestic research for career adaptability was still in its infancy, especially in the mainland China. And the subjects and contents mainly focused on college students. The master was rarely investigated. Therefore, the research of master career adaptability will become a focus in future college career coaching and counseling.This study investigated the masters coming from nearly 20 colleges and universities in China. Moreover, interviews were made with six reading masters and four graduated masters being from different gender, grade, profession and colleges.The study analyzed thosed objects by measuring the self-created questionnaires, such as the Career-Adaptability scale, the Career Decision Making Self-efficacy scale and the Career Decision-making Difficulties Questionnaire, By polymerization of cross-sequential design investigate master's status and influence factors of career adaptability, career decision-making self-efficacy as intermediary variables, explore the influence of career adaptability to career decision-making difficulties. All the data were analyzed by the softwares OFFICE2010?SPSS17.0 and LISREL8.8. Then the following conclusions were gained in the paper:(1) Career adaptability status of masters is at the upper middle level, which indicated that the master's overall ability to adapt career is better, but individual groups' career adaptability is low.(2) There are significant differences on some demographic variables for the career adaptability and career decision-making difficulties.(3) Part-time and internship experience is better than academic and research capabilities in enhancing the master's career adaptability at the beginning of the entry.(4) There is significant correlation between the three variables in this study. The regression results show that:career adaptability has a significant negative prediction to career decision-making difficulties. Career decision making self-efficacy has a significant negative prediction to career decision-making difficulties. Career adaptability has a significant positive prediction to career decision making self-efficacy.(5) Career decision making self-efficacy partly mediates the relationship between career adaptability and career decision-making difficulties.This study shows that the master's career adaptability is higher, the strength of the career decision-making self-efficacy, which helps to reduce the level of career decision-making difficulties.
