The Relationship Between The Physical Type Of School Students And The Dry Luck Of The Birth Period

The idea of harmony between man and nature,which is particularly reflected in the theory of five circuits and six qi,believes that men comes from universe and are closely associated with its cycle.The theory of five circuits and six qi systematically illustrated the periodic change rules of nature and its impacts on everything in nature and human life.Based on the Yunqi theory and the establishment of constitution database of internal students in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,we adapted multiple statistical methods to analyze the correlation between five circuits and six qi in birth dates of internal students and nine types of constitution.The results may be beneficial to provide some useful references for early constitution identification and regulation of biased constitution.ObjectiveTo study the distributional characteristics and rules of internal students' nine types of constitution.To study the correlation between five circuits and six qi in birth dates of internal students and nine types of constitution,and reveal the critical Yunqi factors in the formation of different constitution.Materials and MethodsData sources:The constitution datas of internal students in Beijing University of Chinese Medicine were collected by questionnaire method.The contents included basic information such as gender,age,birth date and constitution investigation.Constitution identification methods:Constitution types were determined according to the Standard TCM Constitutions' Classification and Determination Questionnaire(CD-TCM),which was issued by China Association of Chinese Medicine on April 9,2009.Individual's biased constitutions were ranked based on the scores.Higher scores meant higher ranking.In the research,We chose the first biased constitution with highest scores as individual's biased constitution type.Data processing:Screening the original datas according to the criteria of exclusion and inclusion,and there were 2945 cases in total included in the research.Transforming their birth dates into heavenly stems and earthly branches.Statistical methods:Firstly,descriptive statistics was adapted to describe the distribution of five circuits and six qi of different constitution cases respectively,and then Chi-square test was used to determine differences among them.Afterwards,logistic regression analyse was used to select the essential Yunqi factors that had significant impacts on constitution formation.Results1.Constitution distribution of internal studentsAmong nine types of constitution,Gentleness constitution had the highest proportion,while Yin-deficiency constitution,Yang-deficiency constitution and Dampness-heat constitution were the top three biased constitution types.The proportions of Gentleness constitution and Yin-deficiency constitution in males were significantly higher than that in females,while other seven types of biased constitution in females were higher than that in males,and there were statistical differences in proportion of Yang-deficiency constitution and Blood-stagnation.The results suggested that females were basically higher than males in the proportions of pathologic constitution,so males were healthier than females.2.The correlation between Yunqi features in birth dates and constitution types(1)The relation between five circuits in birth dates and constitution typesHeavenly stems in birth dates could influence all types of constitution except for Phlegm-dampness constitution and Dampness-heat constitution.Individuals who were born in gui year were difficult to develop Gentleness constitution while were susceptible to Yang-deficiency constitution,Qi-deficiency constitution,Qi-stagnation constitution and Blood-stagnation constitution.Individuals who were born in yi year were susceptible to Yin-deficiency constitution.Five circuits in birth dates had impact on the formation of Gentleness constitution,Qi-stagnation constitution and Blood-stagnation constitution.That's is,individuals who were born in Five phases of heat were susceptible to Qi-stagnation constitution and Blood-stagnation constitution while had adverse effect on Gentleness constitution formation.(2)The relation between six qi in birth dates and constitution typesFor Dominant qi in birth dates,individuals were susceptible to Yang-deficiency constitution,Yin-deficiency constitution,Phlegm-dampness constitution and Qi-stagnation constitution with taiyin damp earth,taiyang cold water,shaoyin monarch fire and yangming dry metal respectively.For Guest qi in birth dates,individuals were difficult to develop Gentleness constitution with taiyang cold water while were susceptible to Phlegm-dampness constitution and Dampness-heat constitution.In addition,it's possible for people to develop Blood-stagnation constitution with shaoyin monarch fire.Conclusion1.The study found that there was correlation between constitutional types and Yunqi features in birth dates,which revealed that besides heritance in the natural factors that influenced the formation of constitution,differences in birth dates and gasification during pregnant period were equally important.2.Heavenly stems,Five phases,Dominant qi,Guest qi and Sitian-Zaiquan all had influences in the formation of different constitutions.The effect of Heavenly stems was the most remarkable,especially in gui year(i.e.heat circuits insufficiency),individuals were susceptible to biased constitution.
