| Acne is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease that occurs in the hair follicle sebaceous,which is often seen among adolescent male and female,and incidence rate of male is slightly higher than that of female.A total of 955 respondents were surveyed in a city of North China,with a total prevalence of 59.6%,in which male prevalence rate of is 64.7%and female prevalence is 54.8%,showing that a higher incidence of acne of male than female.According to the UPI questionnaire survey among university students,acne has an obvious impact on many aspects of their life,such as self-confidence,emotions,social activities and so on,and its impact is positively correlated to its severity.Therefore,we can come to the conclusion that acne is a high prevalence of skin disease that has great impact on both psychology and actual life,which shall be extensively concerned by medical workers.However,several acne treatment methods that are being used now have different curative effects.Dissipation blood stasis,remove toxin and eliminating stagnation(DRE)decoction is an effective and safe Chinese medical treatment of acne,which is proved by previous studies and clinical experience.Experimental support is nonetheless in absence for effect of the combination treatment of DRE decoction and collateral pricking and cupping therapy.Objective:This study was to investigate effect of DRE decoction combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy in the treatment of the accumulated heat in spleen and stomach syndrome acne and the life quality of acne patients,and to explore the advantages of this combination therapy.Methods:60 acne patients were screened and selected among hospital dermatology clinic from April to December 2016 according standard applied in this study.60 patients were randomly divided into two groups,control group and treatment group,each 30 cases.For treatment group,patients were proceeded with DRE decoction combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy treatment,while control group were treated with DRE decoction only.The treatment lasted for 4 weeks,including one dose of DRE decoction for both groups per day,half dose every morning and evening with warm water.In addition,collateral pricking and cupping therapy for patients of treatment group once a week.The changes of the symptoms,the improvement of skin lesions and the score of DLQI were observed before and after the treatment.By comparing lesion score,symptom score and DLQI scale before and after treatment,we can evaluate curative effect on the accumulated heat in spleen and stomach syndrome acne of DRE decoction combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy treatment.Results:Through observation of the effect of 4 weeks treatment and comparison of overall efficiency on treatment group and control group,overall efficiency of DRE decoction combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy treatment is 86.7%,while that of DRE decoction treatment in control group73.3%.Observation results of both groups are statistically significant(P<0.05).Combined treatment is more effective.The effective rate was 83.3%in the treatment group and 73.3%in the control group on skin lesions recovery,showing that both kinds of treatment are effective on such disease,but difference of two rates has no statistical significance(P>0.05).On numbers of recovery skin lesions,the treatment group's number is 56.37±11.10,and the control group's is 50.81 ± 8.53,showing that both treatments are effective,and combined treatment is better(P<0.05).By comparing skin legion score of two groups before and after treatment,improvement rate of treatment group is 58.97±11.607,while that of control group is 52.68±8.46,showing that both treatments are effective and combined treatment's improvement rate is higher than control group(P<0.05).Regarding symptoms improvement score,treatment group score is 61.72±10.46,while control group is 56.00±7.26,showing that both treatments are effective and combined treatment is better than single-method treatment.Finally,the improvement rate of DLQI score of treatment group is 81.10±8.13,and the number of control group is 73.87±11.37,which can be construed that treatment group has a greater impact on patients'DLQI than control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:According to clinical trials,DRE decoction combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy is a safe and effective treatment on the accumulated heat in spleen and stomach syndrome acne.It can improve the symptoms and reduce the skin lesions,and lessen the negative effect of acne on patients' life quality.In addition,combination therapy is superior to single-method therapy,and worthy of clinical promotion. |
