Clinical Observation Of Bawei Qingfei Decoction In The Treatment Of Children With Pneumonia And Asthma

Objective: To make observation on the clinical curative effect of Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy about children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrom,and to make a further exploration on its mechanism of action.Methods: Assign 60 Children who conform to the diagnostic criteria into two groups randomly and evenly,one called treatment group(Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy group),and the other called contrasting group(Conventional western medicine therapy group).After 7 days,comparing the differences between the two groups of clinical total curative effect,accumulating points of TCM symptom,the primary symptom’s integral,the secondary symptom’s integral,and intravenous injection time.In addition,keeping track of their recurrence rate in 1 month and 2 months after treatment.Results: In terms of disease clinical curative effect,the total effective rate in the treatment group on children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrom is 96.67 %,and the cure rate is 73.33 %.The total effective rate in the contrasting group is 86.67%,and the cure rate is 36.67%.There has obvious statistical differences on integration between the two groups in disease clinical curative effect(P<0.01).It proves that using Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy to treat children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrom has significant advantages in improving the disease clinical curative effect compared with using pure conventional western medicine therapy.With regard to accumulating points of TCM symptom,the effective rate in the treatment group is 93.33%,and its cure rate is 63.33%.The effective rate in the contrasting group is 73.33 %,and the cure rate is 26.67%.There has obvious statistical differences on integration between the two groups in TCM symptom curative effect(P<0.01).It proves that using Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy to treat children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrom has significant advantages in improving the TCM symptom curative effect compared with using pure conventional western medicine therapy.In the aspect of the primary symptom’s integral,the treatment group is21.90±3.18 before treatment and 7.10±1.49 after treatment.And the contrasting group is 20.97±4.25 before treatment and 8.23±2.18 after treatment.There has no obvious statistical differences on integration between the two groups in the primary symptom’s integral before treatment(P > 0.05).The primary symptom’s integral of the treatment group compared with the contrasting group after treatment P < 0.05,and the change of the primary symptom’s integral of the treatment group compared with the contrasting group after treatment P < 0.01.So both of the 2 treatments are effective,but using Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy to treat children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegmheat syndrom has significant advantages in improving the primary symptom curative effect compared with using pure conventional western medicine therapy.About intravenous injection time,there are 11 patients received intravenous drip for 3 days and the other 11 patients for 7 days in the treatment group.The average time of intravenous drip in the treatment group is 5.33 days.Correspondingly,all 30 patients received intravenous drip for 7 days and the average time of intravenous drip is 6 days in the contrasting group.Conclusion: Using Bawei Qingfei decoction combined with conventional western medicine therapy to treat children pneumonia with cough and accumulation of phlegm-heat syndrom has significant advantages in improving the disease clinical curative effect and improving the TCM symptom curative effect compared with using pure conventional western medicine therapy.Besides,it would shorten intravenous injection time.
