Objective:Applying data mining of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System(2.5)(TCMISS(2.5))to analyze past priscriptions and the characteristics of Professor WANG Jing-jing's treatment on epilepsy including clinical symtoms,sydrome classification,therapeutic methods,prescription medication.This thesis is intended to discover the similarities and differences between her prescription medications and past prescriptions,to look for objective basis for her academic thoughts on epilepsy treatment and to explore possible potentiality.All of these are creative conclusions and spreading of famous veteran teran doctors of TCM on the basis of former treatment.Methods:This research is divided into two parts.The first part is past treatment medications classification.773 qualified prescriptions are standardly inputted into TCMISS(2.5)and being data mined to discover rules and regularities of prescriptions and medicines on epilepsy treatments as well as new prescriptions on the basis of unsupervised entropy hierarchical clustering.The second part emphasises on analyzing prescriptions on epilepsy treatment by data mining to observe sydromes and to distinguish charateristics of epilepsy,to summarize sydrome classification and rules and regularities on treatment as well as to analyze experiences on prescriptions regularities and characteristics.Results:The first part of the research indicates common medicines in past prescriptions on epilepsy are cinabar?ginseng?Calculus Bovis?musk?Scorpio?licorice?Scutellaria baicalensis?Rhubarb?Tianma?Fangfeng?Peppermint?Ginger?Polygala tenuifolia?Rhino horn?Realgar?Poriacocos ? Uncaria.It is in accordance with opinions and treatment on epilepsy of TCM doctors from“Jing-Wind-Heat(Evil Fire)-Phlegm-Stasis-Deficiency”.The second part of the research shows prescription on epilepsy of Professor WANG Jing-jing treatment includes Rhizoma ligustici wallichii?Scorpio?Grassleaf sweetflag rhizome ?
