Object:Using infrared thermal imaging to observe the effection of heat-producing needling and cool-producing needling via acupuncture LI11, and preliminary analysis on the relationship between acupuncture manipulation and acupuncture effect, as well as the influence of the some extent quantification of acupuncture manipulation to skin surface temperature of health people.Material and Methods: 60 volunteers of healthy adults, according to student number mantissa parity to divided into two groups:group heat-producing needling and group coolproducing needling, each group has 30 volunteers. Volunteers are aged 18 to 27 years old.Volunteers lying on his back on the treatment couch which is 2m away from the infrared device when image acquisition, fully exposed skin of bilateral upper limbs, and elbow flexion on the chest naturally. Then collected infrared thermal imaging before needling?after acupuncture immediately?retaining needle 5min?retaining needle 10 min and retaining needle15 min.Last analysis the difference of the skin surface temperature and thermal imaging of LI11?LI4?LI10?LI14?SJ5 and non meridian point.Results: 1.After heat-producing needling, the points skin surface temperature has risen slightly. Needling immediately, retaining needle 5min ?retaining needle 10 min ?retaining needle 15 min compared to before needling have significant difference in LI11(P ? 0.05).Retaining needle 5min ? retaining needle 10 min and retaining needle 15 min compared to before needling have statistically significant in LI4(P ? 0.05). Retaining needles 5min compared to before needling have statistically significant in LI10 and LI14(P?0.05). 2.After cool-producing needling, There shows a cooling trend. There is a statistically difference compare needling immediately and before needling, also it has a significant difference compared retaining needle 5min ?retaining needle 10 min and retaining needle 15 min with before needling in LI11(P?0.05). Retaining needle 5min?retaining needle 10min?retaining needle 15 min compared to before needling have statistically significant in LI4(P?0.05). Retaining needle 5min compared with before needling have statistically difference in LI10 and LI14(P?0.05).3.After heat-producing needling, the skin temperature is generally higher than after cool-producing needling, and compared to cool-producing needling, it has statistiacal difference in needle retaining 5min, retaining 10 min,retaining 15min(P?0.05).Conclusions:It might be concluded from the results mentioned above. 1.After perform heat-producing needling and cool-producing needling on LI11, LI11 and LI4 keep the longest effection of hot or cold relatively. Which illustrates that LI11 and LI4 are the best relection of hot or cold after acupuncture LI11, and it provide a basis for clinical selection of acupoints.2.After acupuncture LI11, the acupuncture effection along the Large Intestine Channel of Hand-Yangming to propagate. Which indicates that the sensation of acupuncture propagated along the channel. These conclusions are valid only within the scope of this experiment.
