Clinical Study On Electroacupuncture Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

Purpose:This study is used a randomized controlled clinical trial. Through clinical research on electric acupuncture therapy in the treatment of early, medium term on liver and kidney deficiency type of knee osteoarthritis, we can get clinical curative effect of electric acupuncture therapy in scientific evaluation, to explore the external treatment of a convenient, efficient, safe in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis for traditional Chinese medicine, so that the clinical promotion.Material and method:According to randomized controlled clinical trial principle, we will meet the inclusion criteria patients who were randomly divided into three groups, namely treatment group(electric acupuncture group) 30 cases, group A(acupuncture group) 30 cases, group B(ultrasound group) 30 cases. They are respectively done according to the treatment program. We select the VAS score and WOMAC index as the main observation indexes, then observing the results of statistical treatment and finally drawing the conclusion.Results: After the treatment of three groups, we compared with VAS score and WOMAC index of pain, stiffness, and physical function scores decreased that before treatment. The differences are statistical significance(P < 0.05), and they show that electro acupuncture group, acupuncture group and ultrasound group can ease pain, relieve joint stiffness, improving the function of knee joint. By before and after the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in patients with total efficiency, electric acupuncture therapy group is more efficient than the acupuncture group, acupuncture group is more efficient than the ultrasound group. And electric acupuncture therapy group curative effect is better than that of acupuncture group; the curative effect is better than the ultrasound group acupuncture group. By the follow-up after treatment of knee osteoarthritis in patients with total efficiency, we show that effect of electro acupuncture group is higher than that in the acupuncture group, and the curative effect of acupuncture group is higher than the ultrasound group. As a result, curative effect of electric acupuncture therapy group is better than that of acupuncture group; the curative effect of acupuncture group is better than the ultrasound group acupuncture group.Conclusion: Electric acupuncture therapy can relieve the pain of knee osteoarthritis, relieve joint stiffness, improving the function of knee joint. It is a convenient, efficient, safe therapy on early stage knee osteoarthritis in the clinical treatment.
