| Randomized controlled trial of clinical effect of acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritisObjective To analyze the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis through comparing with electric needle. Methods 60 cases of patients with knee osteoarthritis in our hospital of outpatient service from May 2014 to May 2016 were selected.Patients were divided into acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion treatment group (experimental group, n=30) and electric acupuncture group (control group, n=30) two groups according to the random number table method. The thunder fire moxibustion group were given acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion treatment, while the control group were given electrical acupuncture treatment, then the WOMAC index scores, VAS scores, Lequesne MG scores, clinical efficacy and incidences of adverse reactions of the two groups were statistically analyzed. Results The pain, stiffness and daily activity index scores and WOMAC score after treatment of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05), the VAS score, Lequesne MG score were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05); The pain, stiffness, daily activities difficult index scores and WOMAC scores of the experimental group were slightly higher than the control group, the VAS score, Lequesne MG score were slightly lower, the total treatment efficiency 96.7%(29/30) was slightly higher than the control group 93.3%(28/30), the incidence rate of the adverse reaction 6.7%(2/30) was slightly lower than the control group 10%(3/30), but the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion The clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is slightly better than electric needle treatment, but also can improve the clinical symptoms, relieve the pain, reduce the disease, improve the quality of life, reduce the adverse reactions of patients in a certain extent, so is worthy of promotion in the clinical. |
