Research On Quality Control Of Valve Casting Process Based On PFMEA

With valve marketplace intensifying competition, customers rise concern about the valve quality, and they will not rise the valve cost. How to find one valid tool for quality management is one of the focuses of the valve manufacturing enterprise due to the opposition relationship between quality and cost.This paper does a research basis on the quality management, through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of quality management tool, to find out the PFMEA tool which is suitable for valve development in valve manufacturing enterprises, and setup the PFMEA model with improving valve product quality for casting valve project development, and apply this model to empirical research brass casting valve.This paper puts forward to PFMEA quality management tools as the core tools of casting valve development project, to setup the valve casting quality control model, to do the analysis and find out the potential failure factors which may lead to casting valve defect, and then to do the risk assessment for the failure factors, find out major failure factors play the leading role, and to make control plan for the major failure mode, to achieve the purpose of quality control for valve casting product. The research conclusion of this paper, which can be provided to casting valve project development in valve manufacturing enterprise for actual quality management guiding, and can be referred for quality management during product project development in other enterprise.
