In recent years, with the rapid development of automobile industry, automobile recall happens frequently. Automobile recall is often because of auto parts quality problem which affect safety of the car, so the requirement of auto parts quality is more and more strict. Detecting auto parts quality is the last assurance to ensure the quality of parts, therefore the quality process control for the development of detecting system to ensure stability and reliability of the detecting system is very necessary.The EC/EW check valve is the key components of hydraulic lifter mechanism in automobile engine ignition system. Its quality directly affects the starting of auto engine, so it should have a strict detection to check valve. The development of EC/EW check valve detecting system has a important significance to ensure the quality of check valve in condition that only ensuring the reliability and stability of the check valve detecting system can detect and analyze the quality of check valve.The development of non-standard customed check valve test system which is integrated with mechanism, electrification, hydraumatic and pneumatic is very difficult because of relating a broad knowledge fields. It is difficult to assure the quality of the system development. The theory and method of whole process quality management is applied to the process of design, manufacture, use and maintenance of check valve testing system to have a quality control to the developing process. Using various methods of process quality control in the process of design, manufacture analyzes and prevents quality problems, so that the possible faults can be solved in the early time of the process. The paper’s main work includes the following four aspects:1. This paper expounds the whole process quality management theory and methods and respectively introduces related factors which affects the design process quality and the manufacturing process quality and the operation and maintenance process quality. It also explains the use of some quality control methods such as the quality function deployment and the failure mode and effects analysis.2. The paper expounds the theory of quality cost and builds a quality cost control model to determine subsystem’s quality feature values under the condition of total system quality cost optimization.3. This paper systematically introduces the developing process of design, manufacture of the EC/EW check valve testing system and the development of the system is performed in accordance with the basic process of the whole process of quality control.4. Analyzing and controlling the developing process of the valve testing system, using house of quality to deploy user requirements into the system’s technical characteristic and engineering measures. Using fault failure mode and effect analysis method of design to predict system’s possible failure mode and fault severity degree. According to the testing result of detection system to have a measurement system analysis.This paper analyzes the developing process quality of the check valve detection system in the whole process of quality management methods. This provides the guiding significance to the process quality control for non-standard equipment development.
