Most of the corporate strategy is similar or even same,some companies have achieved great successes,but some companies are still unsuccessful.Obviously,there are other key factors behind the strategy.Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan wrote the book "Execution:The Discipline of Getting Things Done" in 2002.1n this book,they introduced the theory of execution and pointed out execution is the biggest problem faced by enterprise.After that,execution became a widespread concern.Middle managers are not only managers,but also executors.They determine the effect of execution.So how to improve the executive ability of middle managers is an important question for study.This paper has five chapters,and is divided into four sections.Chapter One is the first section.This section introduces the research background,practical and theoretical significance,describes the purposes and methods of this research.The second section includes Chapter Two and Chapter Three.Chapter two defines the basic concept of executive ability and middle managers firstly,then reviews the researches of executive ability from two levels of organizations and individuals,at last reviewed qualitative researches and empirical researches for the executive ability of middle managers,and makes the evaluation.The third chapter is the design of this research.This chapter,firstly,extracts the influencing factors of middle managers' executive ability based on theory review and existing research,designs the initial questionnaire,then revises this factors based on the feedback of interviews,confirms the finally questionnaire,secondly,classifies these influencing factors and forms the hypotheses,at last,introduces questionnaire design and statistical methods.Chapter Four is the third section.This section firstly introduces the basic situation of the sample,analyses the reliability and validity of survey data,then divides 26 factors into 9 dimensions through factor analysis by SPSS,thirdly,introduces the results of the 26 factors and 9 dimensions with descriptive statistics and makes a comparison,at last,tests whether the influencing factors are different by making a variance analysis of dimensions from gender,education,type of enterprise.Chapter Five is the last section.This section,firstly,summarizes the research and test hypotheses,then makes some suggestions to promote the executive ability of middle managers from two levels of organizations and individuals,at last,summarizes the innovation points and shortcomings,then makes some suggestions to the researches in the future.
