With the rapid development of the economy in China, the height of buildings is rising higher and higher, due to the increasing population and limited land for development. In the upcoming five to ten years, the human residential space is expected to reach kilometers above ground. Furthermore, the urbanization in China is faster than ever before, and all the sky-rising buildings require elevators for vertical transportation. Therefore, the elevator industry is developing so fast that the entire world is astonished by its progress..Witnessing the huge elevator market in China and the intense competition of the elevator industry, hundreds of large and small manufacturers from both overseas and domestic set up new factories in China and locate their sales and maintenance network in the major cities. However, many domestic brands pursue the low price and cutthroat competition, due to their lack of elevator core technology and management experience, while they pay little attention to the product quality and safety. Even the purchasers of elevators may have no awareness of the elevator industry and misadvised by the inferior product with low prices, which lead to the current disorder competition of elevator industry in China.Established in year 2001, a holding company of Schindler Elevator Group, XS Elevator Co., Ltd. is a large professional elevator supplier for designing,manufacturing, marketing, installation and maintenance of elevators. The author of the paper has been in elevator industry for years, and paying much attention to the elevator industry development both in China and overseas. Like XS Elevator Co.,Ltd., many domestic elevator brands have developed rapidly and are worth of deep study. Based on this purpose, this paper has collected comprehensive data and information of XS Elevator Co., Ltd., followed by the analysis of the its development external environment, the industry environment and its major competitors, based on which the paper concludes the opportunities and threats of XS Elevator Co., Ltd. Adopting the SWOT analytical method and Michael Porter's FiveForces Model, this paper analyzes the guiding ideology of the company strategy formulation, proposes the main goal of the development strategy, and summarizes the selected scheme of the company development strategy, on the basis of its development track. Afterwards, the paper suggests the guarantee measures for the company strategy implementation, determining the necessary practice and the critical process of the company strategy implementation on the basis of the required resources for the company development strategy. Finally, this paper provides suggestions relating to improving the company core competitiveness, concern to the product quality and safety, strengthening the informatization and branch construction,by analyzing and evaluating the development strategy model of XS Elevator Co., Ltd combined with the current political and economic environment.
