Gas generator is the device of using of oxidants and fuel combustion to generate high-temperature gas to output thermal power,in the industrial gas turbine,rocket ramjet,hypersonic propulsion ground test system,pneumatic laser and chemical laser pressure recovery system,etc..A monitoring and control system is needed to complete the gas generator status detection,operation control,safety interlock and protective interrupt.Therefore,it is the key subsystem of a gas generator to achieve reliable,safe operation.Traditional monitoring and control systems are designed for specific types of gas generators with the drawbacks of poor versatility and maintenance difficulties.In order to improve versatility of monitoring and control system,model analysis,architecture design,hardware and software design,debugging and application research of the gas generator monitoring and control system were perfomed in this thesis.The main research works and obtained conclusions are as follow:(1)A general control model was proposed to adapt to various gas generators,and the overall hardware and software architecture were established.According to the requirements of state detection,operation control,data acquisition,safety interlocking and protective interrupt of gas generator,general requirements and technical indexes of the measurement and control system were summarized.Based on the idea of abstraction and stratification design,control model was established.The control model consists of underlying model of the test behavior,hardware middle model independent of 10 interfaces,and hardware-independent top-level software model.Through virtual channel mapping,the top-level software is independent of underlying hardwares.The overall hardware architecture is divided into three subsystems:control system,measurement system and camera system.The software system is mainly divided into two parts:the data acquisition module and the control module.Each module is composed of upper and lower sub-modules.(2)The hardware and software of the measurement and control system were specificilly designed and developed.Some new high reliability,low cost measurement and control technology was adopted for designing hardware system.Some cost-effective components to build hardware systems,including the host computer,PLC controller,PXI data acquisition system,sensors,video cameras,Decoding controller and power supply selection.In addition,security interlock design and electromagnetic compatibility were emphasized for hardwere design.The software system mainly includes three sub-modules:communication module,control module and data acquisition module.The United States NI LabVIEW8.5 were adopted to write the host computer control interface.The PLC software was accomplied by using STEP7.Communication between PLC and host computer were based OPC technology.(3)For a type of gas generator,the monitoring and control system debugging and application research were perfomed.A key case coverage,step by step implementation debugging scheme was carefully formulated.Hardware testing,software sub-module testing,system debugging were carried out for a gas genertor.The applications showthat the monitoring and control system is suitable for the different work condtions of the gas generator.Furthermore,the operation control,the data acquisition and the safety interlocking are in line with expectation.Through the above works,a set of practical gas generator measurement and control system was established.The proposed system in the thesis has bright engineering application prospect for shortening the gas generator development cycle,reducing the cost and improving the operation reliability and adaptability.
