Checking attendance is closely related to employee's salaries and it is one of the most important work in human resource management for enterprise.The small and medium enterprises account for 97% in China which means those enterprises have a significant influence on domestic economy.Currently,the most common method to check in is fingerprints attendance machine or RF card machine,however,it is time-wasting and has other disadvantages,like not hygiene enough and require much work to maintain the facilities.In order to solve the problems mentioned above under such circumstances,this paper proposed a new checking attendance method.With the rapid development of communication technology,mobile phone is becoming more and more indispensable to people.Just like the shadow in the sun,people carries them everywhere they go.Cell phone highly matches with the owner because of the personal information like social status and financial details are binding to the phone.At the same time,most places have the Wi-Fi coverage in China,especially in the office area and the AP(access point)is immovably.Both the AP and the cell phone involved in the new method are proposed this paper.Each phone is embedded with a unique IMSI code to identify the identity of the staff.In the meanwhile,the mac address of the fixed Wi-Fi AP as the location info combined with the checking time can verify if the checking-in process is complete.Such method could finish the checking-in automatically through the application in the phone without any extra hardware equipment.Saving money and high efficiency are two of the remarkable traits of this method.There are two problems remain to be solved during the process of this method.First one is to select the checking-in certificate system;the second obstacle is to find a way to improve the concurrent volume which could meets the requirements of the system.The whole system is divided into three parts: mobile terminal,AP,background server.The portable terminal is achieved in android platform,by using the MySQL database and java EE to realize the background server and employing Tomcat server as the Web server.The result is promising after the system testing,for a single AP estimate supporting 1000 people to checking-in with response time limited in 2 seconds,the CPU and the memory footprint of the phone below 38% and 23 MB which reach the expectations of the system successfully.The system this paper designed with the feature of cost saving,convenience,highly reliable,easy to update and maintain is superior to other similar checking-in products.
