In China, Small Medium-sized Discrete Manufacturing Enteprises (SMDME) have some shortcomings such as the weak ability of management, the feebleness in market, the flexible business,and the inability of staff. So it is inevitable for them to integrate and well manage all the enterprise resources and to push their informationization further to make sure that the cash, materiel, information unionized, lower cost, less time for production.In this paper, the design and development of ERP system of SMDME have been implemented. Considering the characteristics of SMDME and the problems of informationization in SMDME, the technique of ERP must be implemented through the study of the situation of the inner and outer world, and the primary principles. On the analysis of the differences between the present ERP system and the needs of SMDME, the whole frame work of ERP system which most SMDME prefer, has been presented in this dissertation, as well as the function modules and the model of data integration between modules. What's more, production planning and production activity control subsystems have been designed in detail.With the direction of the idea of ERP the production planning subsystem and production activity control have been developed by the software of Visual Stdio.net2005. The MPS calculation and the MRP calculation have been implemented in the former subsystem.While in the later subsystem, there are three blocks, which are basic information management of production activity control, bill management, statistic management.The system is designed in C/S mode structure.The development environment is Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005 with.Net framework2.0. The database tool is SQL Server 2000 which is with excellent agility and stability. By running for a time, the system is proved to meet the requirement of enterprise and bring better management to It.Finally,the work auther have done and existing problems are summarized and the direction of further study and development is stated.
