Lanzhou City Image Change Of Media Presence

From the perspective of the media presentation of the city image,this paper studies the urban image of Lanzhou from the publication of Gansu Daily,a major newspaper in Lanzhou,after the founding of the People's Republic of China.According to the chronological order,with the help of space political events and historical events,the urban image of Lanzhou has been changed.By means of semiotics analysis,the paper carries out deep excavation to construct the image of Lanzhou City at different stages.Based on the theories of urban space theory and media geography,this paper analyzes the intrinsic motivation of urban media images in each stage.The research focus of each stage is divided into two parts: the first is the urban image description and the media presentation;The second is the core point and construction reason of urban construction,and the urban space theory analyzes the changes of the city itself.This is the main part of this study.The last part of the media of different stages of Lanzhou City,analyzing its orientation is scientific and reasonable,whether and periodic media image,and then to Lanzhou City image building and positioning to make summary and referential suggestions are put forward.Lanzhou city image connotation has been rich since ancient times has formed in the ancient fortress "military","silk road center city","ethnic integration","Buddhism culture","western culture" and "Ancient Tea Route;" jointly constructed the Lanzhou brilliant history of civilization.Due to its special strategic position,Lanzhou is also defined as "military city" and "northwest goods distribution center".From 1949 to1978,the period before the end of the fourth five-year period coincided with the construction boom of the socialist country,and the image of Lanzhou became an"important town in the western industrial zone".In the context of the national efforts to build the chemical industry center and the construction of a chess game,Lanzhou has been effectively organized into the national industrial planning grid as the central city of the west.It is because the special geographical location,rich in Lanzhou petrochemical raw materials,solid foundation,the development of the military makes Lanzhou rapidly under the national deployment of a "western industrial center city"and "petrochemical town".The 1990 s and 1980 s,Lanzhou as the main image of the western industrial center,but the positioning and development direction in the certainadjustment,namely the function of some factories gradually turned to civilian national strategic function is gradually weakened.The main reason lies in the modernization of the country in the 1980 s,as well as the modernization of People's Daily life.The size of the strategic industrial cities in the whole region is shrinking.The 90 s to the new century,the rise of commercial society,consumerism tide sweeping the country,consumption idea makes cities in addition to the development of leading industries,pay more attention to development of city features,such as regional economy,characteristic industry,cultural industry in Lanzhou and to realize the importance of city positioning and city image shaping,so with the aid of the national strategy of west development,make the corresponding adjustment and deployment.But this stage also because position is not found Lanzhou City image features and is very chaotic,and always stay in shallow levels of policy advocacy and called for no image formation of Lanzhou characteristics.And since 2010,Lanzhou city image also had the big breakthrough and development,with the help of a "new city" in Lanzhou,Lanzhou blue haze successful governance ","One Belt,One Road"and "Lanzhou international marathon" outward symbols,Lanzhou find its own characteristic gradually in positioning.
