With the quick development of the telecommunication technology and internet technology,users increase the higher demonds on broadband technology and power grid automation technology,the traditional access,represented by copper wire,can not meet the needs of users.Optical fiber has lots of advantages,such as large capacity of communication,high quality,stable perfomence,preventing electromagnetic interference,strong confidentiality,etc,and has been the main medium of internet access increasingly.In the technology of optical fiber,EPON has the advantages of passive optical network and internet,and now becomes the main optical fiber access because of its advantages of simple structure,easy standards,low cost,Gbit/s and compatibility with existing internet.According to the characters and demonds of the power distribution network,the thesis researchs the hardware design and implementation method for devices connecting to the Optical Network Unit(ONU)based on internet passive optical network.According to the standard of communication industry in our country and the performance requirement,combined with the EPON method in the application of the power distribution network,the technical standard and performance requirement of passive Optical Network Unit(ONU)are sorted out and generated.Through the analysis of the application and the demand,the thesis comes out with the hardware instruction of ONU and the concrete implementation scheme.Based on those,it also gives the circles of ONU chip,internet access and power supply,etc.during the design period the signal integrity has been simulated and the design reliability are verified.Based on the hardware design and implementation,the thesis has completed the functional and performance testing of ONU.And the results show that the ONU meets the design requirements.
