With the application of the MWD(Measurement While Drilling)technology,the drilling industry has entered a new era of intelligent drilling.The driller display system is an important part of the MWD system,which can display various underground engineering parameters in real-time and provide a great convenience for driller to guide the scientific and efficient drilling.In domestic oil fields,some driller display system products are imported from different international oil corporations,as well as several domestic companys.The LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)screen or LED(Light Emitting Diode)screen is utilized as display terminal in most of those display systems,whose working temperature range and field of vision are narrow.These display systems can not work stable when they are used in extreme low temperature environment.At the same time,a lot of products provided with a complex interface that display too many parameters,which are inconvenient for the driller.Moreover,each display system is provided with a monotonous HMI(Human Machine Interface)in English language or Chinese language,with a poor compatibility in oil field applications.Faced with the above problems,a new kind of driller display system is designed and developed in this thesis.The TFEL display panel is adopted to meet the low temperature working environment,combined with CAN bus technology with high reliability and strong real-time capability.The main research work of this thesis is as follows:Firstly,according to the special requirements of the drilling site,a new scheme of the display system of MWD for the harsh environmental conditions(such as low temperature,friendly interference,daytime anti-dazzling display,wide viewing angle range,and etc.)has been proposed in this thesis.Secondly,as the TFEL display screen has a special structure(two screens are spliced together),a innovative display driver circuit has been designed and implemented which uses TMS320F28335 as the main control chip and S1D13705 as the interface chip.Two coordinate systems for this dual plane are established,the screen display template is also constructed,through mapping the RAM data to the space of the screen directly,text can be displayed more fastly.For the display of graphics,another coordinate system is reestablished,using DSP real-time calculation of dynamic data,the static data of template and dynamic data are combined together to overcome the problem of display flickering.The experimental results show that the display circuit and the control method can achieve the goal of controling accurately to pixels and displaying fastly.Thirdly,the host computer data communication software that based on LabVIEW and CAN bus technology has been programmed and debugged.The whole system has been debugged and tested in the laboratory.The preliminary test for temperature tolerance has been implemented in the low temperature experiment platform.The test results show that the driller display system can achieve reliable operation at the temperature of-30?.Experimental results show that the designed display system for driller in MWD has wide visual range,good anti-interference performance and anti-glare function.Especially the use of TFEL panel has greatly broadened the adaptability of the system to the low temperature environment.The display system can control the pixels accurately and has a large number of Chinese and English fonts which ensures a friendly Human Machine Interface.
