The third-generation display technology organic electro-laser(OLED)has been widely used in smart phones,smart TVs,smart home appliances and other fields.First of all,OLED is not because of its self-luminescence and not the advantage of traditional liquid crystal(LCD)display that requires a backlight.As a display,it will be thinner and save power.Secondly,the OLED display color gamut is wider,as a display screen,the color is very bright,the color saturation is high,and the color expression is strong.Finally,even OLED displays used for monochrome or grayscale display still have advantages such as high contrast and low power consumption that are different from LCD displays.These advantages not only conform to the needs of mainstream users in the current consumer electronics market,but at the same time,end users can also develop more intelligent application needs based on these advantages.Therefore,it has become one of the current research hotspots for the OLED display technology to start from the research of the display principle with the purpose of providing a better display effect.This thesis optimizes the design of the visual effects of the monochromatic passive display(PMOLED)driver chip,mainly including:Firstly,the PMOLED panel driving circuit and the main factors that affect the uniformity of the display effect are deeply studied and two optimization solutions for the visual effect of the PMOLED driving chip,namely optimizing the driving method and increasing the brightness compensation were proposed.Aiming at the three related to the display on the SEG column.the phases respectively affect the uniformity of the display effect to complete the simulation are verified.Secondly,the completed the design,simulation and actual measurement verification of the first optimization scheme are proposed.For the pre-charging phase on the SEG column,the traditional voltage driving mode is changed to the segmented driving mode,and the driving time can be adjusted according to the actual display situation for the three periods of time.In the design,the control signal generated by the digital module combined with the design method of the peripheral analog display module realizes the segmented driving mode from the precharge stage under the voltage drive in the past to the one or three-stage current drive and the second stage voltage drive.And in the design,the gears that control the length of the three-stage operation and the gear registers for the current value of the current drive stage are configured to minimize the impact of the pre-charge stage on the SEG column on the display effect under different display conditions.In the final module verification link,the test results after using the segmented drive method show that the display effect consistency is optimized by more than3.7%,which meets the design requirements of better than 2%.Finally,the design,simulation and actual measurement verification of the second optimization scheme proposed in the thesis are completed.The brightness compensation curve is used to calculate the brightness compensation value according to the lighting degree of a row to complete the adjustment of the row brightness value,which realizes the design idea of adjusting the driving current in the display stage according to different display conditions.In the final module verification link,the consistency of the display effect after the brightness compensation algorithm is turned on is optimized by more than 6.6%,which meets the design requirements of better than 3%.The results of the thesis meet the design requirements and have engineering reference value for further research on OLED display optimization.
