With the rapid development of mobile communication technology,mobile phones have been an indispensable communication tool in people's lives.The mobile phone antenna,as a component of the mobile phone,has an important influence on the performance of the mobile phone.With the coming of the 5G era,mobile phone antennas not only have to cover more frequency bands,but people also expect it to be smaller.Thus,mobile phone antennas are developing toward miniaturization,multi-frequency,and broadband.In order to improve channel capacity,MIMO technology is widely used in mobile phone antenna design.The metal frame of mobile phones is loved by consumers because of its beautiful appearance and strong structure.It is a trend of the times,but it also brings greater challenges to the design of mobile phone antennas.Based on the above requirements and difficulties,this thesis proposes four miniaturized multi-frequency metal frame mobile phone antennas.The main contributions of this thesis are as follow:1.An eight-band 4G/5G/WLAN miniaturized metal frame mobile phone antenna is proposed.The antenna has a simple structure and two simple connection lines is connected to the metal frame.There are two break points and two ground points on the metal frame. The clearance area of the proposed antenna is 0mm~2.The antenna relies on the metal frame and the gap between the metal frame and the dielectric substrate to radiate.The measured -6d B impedance bandwidth of the antenna are 1620-2920MHz,3020-3980MHz and 4660- 5160MHz,which can fully cover DCS/PCS/UMTS2100,WLAN2400,LTE2300/2500 (1710-2690MHz)and 5G(3300-3600MHz,4800-5000MHz)eight communication frequency bands.The antenna has the characteristics of small ground clearance and multi- band.2.An eight-band 4G/5G/WLAN miniaturized metal frame mobile phone antenna with extended frequency band is proposed.Compared with the previous antenna,this antenna broadens the frequency bands.The clearance area of the antenna is 34.5mm×5.5mm.The proposed antenna has a breakpoint and a ground point.The inverted T-shaped microstrip line is connected to the metal frame.Using the multiple radiation patterns of S-shaped branches and the coupling ring mode of S-shaped branches and ground-extending metal frames,the measured-6d B impedance bandwidth of the antenna are 1680-2820MHz and 2870-5500MHz,which can completely cover DCS/PCS/UMTS2100,WLAN2400, LTE2300/2500(1710-2690MHz)and 5G(3300-4200MHz,4400-5000MHz)eight communication frequency bands.The antenna has the characteristics of small ground clearance and wide bandwidth3.A nine-band 4G/5G/WLAN miniaturized metal frame mobile phone antenna is presented. The integrity of the metal frame is broken in the proposed antenna.The metal frame is connected to the system ground and the metal frame becomes an extended structure of the ground.Using multi-branch technology,this antenna can completely cover nine frequency bands.The clearance area of this proposed antenna is only 73mm×6mm,and the clearance area is small.The antenna is mainly composed of?-shaped branches,L-shaped branches and grounded parasitic branches,which excites 7 resonance modes.The simulated-6d B impedance bandwidth of the antenna are 817-970MHz and 1400-3920MHz,which can completely cover GSM850/900(824-960MHz),DCS/PCS/UMTS2100,WLAN2400, LTE2300/2500(1710-2690MHz)and 5G(3300-3800MHz)nine communication frequency bands.The antenna has the characteristics of small ground clearance and wide bandwidth4.A 5G 8-elements miniaturized broadband metal frame MIMO mobile phone antenna is proposed.The clearance area of the antenna element is 14.5mm×3mm.The antenna element consists of a T-shaped branch and the metal frame with breakpoints.Using the?/ 4 mode of T-shaped branches and grounded metal frame parasitic branches,the simulated-6d B impedance bandwidth of the antenna is 3200-6500MHz,which can completely cover 5G N77/N78/N79(3300-4200MHz,4400-5000MHz)and LTE Band 46(5150-5925MHz) three frequency bands.In these frequency bands,the isolation of the antenna is greater than 11d B and the signal correlation coefficient is less than 0.06,which meets the design requirements.
