The urban economy and service industry generate a large amount of labor demands as the rapid developments of Urbanization, which result in thousands of rural women labor, migrate to economical advanced cities, such as Beijing.Rearing by distance and other objective factors, these migrant women are unable to keep the former face-to-face parent-child communication and education after leaving their hometown and come to Beijing. The rapid development of mobile phone media provides convenience for communication and liaison between migrant women and children in recent years,so this research aims to explore the role of cell phone media in the relationship between the migrant parents and children left in their home, from the perspective of communication, using migrant women working in Beijing as research objects, through the study of their mobile phone usage. Our research focuses on learning their family background and mobile phone usage, and further exploring the effect of mobile phone on the aspects of parent-child communication, education and confliction and so on.The framework and the interview outline of this research are established by using the related theories of satisfaction and parent-child relationship.Ten migrant workers with different occupations in Beijing were selected, and their family life backgrounds and mobile phone usage were investigated through in-depth interviews. However, the study also found that even if the development of the mobile media has improved the parent-child relationship between migrant women and their children, the mobile phone as a tool cannot change the fact that relatives are not around. At the same time, the convenience of the mobile phone may also cause migrant women more reluctant to go home to accompany children, and some children may have mobile addiction,so we must pay full attention to these negative impacts.
