Electromagnetic launcher is a kind of device to launch payloads using electromagnetic force.Compared with traditional launcher,electromagnetic launcher has a series of advantages,such as high speed of launch,better flexibility and controllability and high launch efficiency.It is significant and prospective that electromagnetic launcher is applied on military and civil fields.In this thesis,the theory of the reluctance launcher is analyzed,simulated and experiment researched.In order to achieve high speed launch with zero initial speed,a hybrid coil launcher is designed based on the characteristics of reluctance launchers and induction launchers,and related simulation research is carried out.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:1.The basic concept and advantages of various electromagnetic launchers are introduced.The reluctance launcher is selected as research object for its simple structure and high efficiency.2.The projectile is optimized.The effect of trigger position,initial velocity and their rational combination are simulated and discussed.After optimization,when the parameters of driving coil are fixed,a solid cylindrical projectile with the length of 10mm,the radius of 3mm and the material of steel-1008 is selected.The simulation results show that different initial velocities need different optimum trigger positions,and their rational combination can improve launch performance.3.A kind of 3-stage reluctance launcher with controllable,adjustable and portable advantages is designed and produced.The launcher adopts adjustable photoelectric sensor,which can realize the function of controllable trigger position.The experimental results are consistent witih simulation results,which verifies the validity of theoretical analysis and the simulation design.The results are very stable and consistent,which verifies the reliability of the launch device.4.A hybrid launcher which is a combination of the reluctance and induction launchers---the reluctance launcher has low launching speed,does not require an initialization speed is designed and simulated;It can be seen from simulation results thatthe hybrid launcher can achieve high speed launch with a zero initial speed.And these work can afford a theoretic support for further experimental research.
