Electromagnetic launch technology(ELT)is a new launch technology,which uses electromagnetic energy to speed up the object to a very high speed.Compared with the traditional chemical and mechanical energy launch technology,ELT has a series of advantages,such as high speed of launch?better flexibility and controllability and high launch efficiency.In this paper,the theoretical analysis and simulation research of induction coil electromagnetic launcher is given at first.Then,a kind of three stage induction coil electromagnetic launcher with simple structure and better controllability is designed.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1.The basic concept and advantages of three kinds of electromagnetic launchers are given.The induction coil electromagnetic launcher is selected as research object,because it has simple structure and high efficiency.2.And then,the induction coil electromagnetic launcher's working principle is studied deeply and the force of the projectile is analyzed based on the current loop analysis method.Further analysis is made about the force on the projectile and the mutual inductance.3.The parameters of the electromagnetic launcher are optirmized to improve the launching speed of the projectile.The parameters of the launcher are analyzed based on the current loop analysis method,and the simulation is verified by the finite element analysis software.The simulation results show that higher launch effect can be get when the radius of the projectile is closer to the radius of the drive coil but with lower efficiency.4.A kind of three stage induction coil electromagnetic launcher is designed and produced based on the theoretical analysis and simulation.Three 18650 lithium batteries are used as power supply,and a self designed small,portable and controllable boost module is used to regulate capacitor voltage.The time of discharge between two stages is accurately controlled by photoelectric tube.The experimental results are in agreement with the simulation results which has verified the correctness of the design.The results of multiple tests are stable which has verified the reliabilityof the launcher.
