With the rapid development of display technology,LED display is becoming more and more widely used.The LED smart glass display as a new type of LED display media,compared with the traditional LED display,has more advantages in the both display and application areas.In our country,LED display technology of smart glass is still in the research phases.On the basis of researches of LED display technology and combine the advantages of optical fiber transmission technology,this paper proposes LED smart glass display system based on optical transmission.Display system mainly consists of four parts:upper computer,controlling subsystem,drive subsystem,and LED smart glass display.Upper computer,according to specification and dimension of LED smart glass display,can produce video files of appropriate resolution.DVI interface is the system's only video source input and the upper computer needs to input video files to the control subsystem through the DVI cables.Control subsystem is divided into the main controller MCU and auxiliary controller SCU.High speed data is transmitted through optical fiber between the two.MCU completes the following designs:to design DVI decoding circuit which decodes the video source signal into RGB components of 24 bits,to design SSRAM storage module which achieves the RGB component data Ping-pong storage processing,and to design optical fiber transmission module which transmits the video data to the SCU.The SCU achieves the following functions:to design a optical fiber transmission module which receives the video data transmitted from the MCU,and to design a data conversion module which realizes a conversion of the video data.The drive subsystem is designed based on the driving characteristics of the LED smart glass display.It transmits video data to the display through the FPC board.Finally it realizes the real-time video images' display of the PC on the LED smart glass.This article studies the LED intelligent glass display system based on optical fiber transmission from the following two aspects:hardware circuit design and FPGA programming.First of all,it designed a display program according to the functional requirements,then made research design and simulation test for each module,And finally completed the entire display system debugging,verified the correctness of the system design.
