The liquid crystal display(LCD)has the advantages of small volume,low radiation,low energy consumption,good optical display effect and high image quality,so the LCD display have been a lot of applications in the automotive,digital watches,mobile phones,computers and other 3C products.The light guide plate is the key component of the liquid crystal display module.Therefore,how to improve the brightness and uniformity of the liquid crystal display is important to improve their own independent innovation in order to break the traditional foreign manufacturers monopoly.The main contents of this paper are divided into three parts,which is the density distribution,the optical simulation and the experiment.It is concluded the rule of the distribution scatteringnetted dots density by the theoretical analysis,optical simulation and experiment,and find the best dot density distribution,which is meet the national optical standards.In this part,we also explore the laser processing mechanism of the light guide plate and optimize the laser processing parameters.The first part in this paper is mainly to calculate the density of the scattering dots of the light guide plate.Firstly,the working principle of the light guide plate in the liquid crystal display is analyzed.According to Lambert’s law,the illumination of the light guide plate is calculated,Furthermore,through the theoretical analysis obtain that the density of the scattering netted dots of the light guide plate increases with the distance from the light source.and the law between the dot density distribution and the light source distance is further introduced,and the density of the light guide plate is gradually increased from both sides to the middle.The second part mainly simulates the optical irradiance of the light guide plate is simulated using TracePro software when the dot density decreasing from the center position to both sides using the Siemens LWT676 as the light source,and show the change rule of the brightness and uniformity of the light guide plate.The experiment is divided into two groups in this part,the first one is etching the dots using the laser in PMMA.The processing mechanism,effect and the rule of the process paramerters on the width,depth,roughness and the depth of the crater on both sides of the microchannel is further studied.The other experiments are mainly to analyzethe influence of brightness that different scattering dots density distribution on the brightness of each position of the light guide plate,and get the best parameters of dot density distribution in the light guide plate.According to the laser processing parameters and network density distribution parameters to processed the light guide plate,The results show that the optical uniformity can reach 82.89%.
