Monopulse tracking radar is a commonly fire control and instrumentation radar,which is widely used in space exploration,target field measurement and weapon control.With the electromagnetic environment changing,the performance requirements of monopulse tracking radar are also constantly improving.In practice,the radar system consumes huge resources and can not adapt to the demand changes quickly.With the rapid development of information technology,the application of computer simulation technology in radar system can effectively reduce the research cost and improve the radar renew ability.In this thesis,the simulation system of monopulse tracking radar can be built on the Matlab/Simulink simulation platform.The simulation system mainly completes the four dimensional tracking in the distance dimension,azimuth dimension,elevation dimension and velocity dimension.Firstly,we can correspondingly analysis the requirements of the simulation system,by which we can obtain the system simulation module.The modules include the transmitter,the environment,the antenna,the receiver,the signal processor and the measuring module.Secondly,according to the mathematical model of each module,we can write the M language program,and package,debugging and verification,to complete the establishment of standardized model library.Then,based on the function of the standardized model library,these libraries are classified to reduce the difficulty of the design of the system and enhance the reusability of the simulation model.Finally,the monopulse tracking radar system can be built by the method of bottom-up and the radar signal flow direction.The monopulse tracking radar working process generally is: according to the guidance information,the antenna beam is directed near the target and search in a small scale.After detecting the target,the system will enter the tracking state.The target four-dimensional information including distance,azimuth,elevation and velocity will be output through the range tracking loop,servo system and velocity tracking loop.The monopulse tracking radar can simulate the working environment and process of the real tracking radar and achieve the function of the measurement.Besides,it has the advantages of low research cost,simple operation and strong reusability,enhancing the adaptability of complex environments.Compared with other monopulse tracking radar,the radar system designed in this thesis can achieve the tracking and measurement of four-dimensional information including distance dimension,azimuth dimension,elevation dimension and velocity dimension,and the measurement function is more comprehensive and the measurement precision is higher.The simulation results can verify the correctness and efficiency of the radar system in this thesis.
