As the computer science rapidly developed, various advanced technologies are increasingly applied in the area of integrated bridge system, with the navigation management functions of ships gradually modified. However, the great amount of types of ship systems and of data, along with the distributed characteristic of data, gives rise to the complicated feature of managing ship data, which makes the previous working mode of manpower and the undeveloped technology impossible to meet the requirements from contemporary ship navigation. In order to address this issue, decrease the users' workload and guarantee the safety of ship navigation, this essay emphasizes on analyzing and designing two sub-systems of the integrated bridge system, namely the SCADA system for data management and the configurable control library for human-machine interface.Above everything else,on the basis of the SCADA system analysis, this project will design the data management system for ships with the distributed control method. The Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System short for the SCADA system is a remote monitoring and control system which is based on computer science. It is new technology in the field of ship, which is developing in recent years. It is advantageous in the operation with the occasions of distributed signals and insufficient personnel available at the site, which gives rise to the significant utilization of this system in data acquisition and collection in the area of ship navigations.Simultaneously, the distributed control is capable of merging the data from various computers into a single system such as to connect multiple systems together, which is superior to the conventional database in functionality and maintenance. The distributed database stores the data generated during the ship navigation, based on which, the signal location supervisor is designed in this paper, convenient for users to check, add, edit and delete data in the database, solving the management problem of a large amount of data. Moreover,to realize the better visual conditions of data display, the paper covers the design of a configurable control library. The advantage is that users can design the layout of control according to their needs. The control is specified to the detailed control patterns in accordance with the control patterns of the ship system.Simultaneously, coding makes the control clearly demonstrate the relevant data of ship status at that moment.Clear and understandable data,so this argument goes, are illustrated to users on the interface with the aid of control icons and digital signs. Finally, the idea of “design from top to bottom, configuration from bottom to top” isutilized in the analysis to the integrated ship bridge system.Meanwhile, the designed SCADA system and the configurable control library are integrated in a single integrated bridge system, which is regarded as an information management system in the area of ship navigation. In addition, the integrated bridge system is a complex integration of many systems, and the system will be simulated in the computer with environment of Windows 7 on the ship simulation machine to verify its availability.According to the various functions put forward by users, two sub-systems of the integrated bridge system are designed and emulated to evidence its functions realizable, which also shows that the system is available for the ship navigation in reality.Furthermore, the SCADA system and the configurable control library specified in this paper are also successfully put into operation by the test platform of a company. As the result of this, with the system gradually perfected,it will be totally and indeed applied in the area of ship navigation.
