Research Oin The Open Access Academic Boorks

Open access aims to safeguard the whole society's equal,free and voluntary open access to academic information.In essence,it is a new-type academic information exchange,spread and sharing philosophy developed under the internet and digital background.Meanwhile,it is a publication mechanism.Facing to the publication crisis of academic books and based on mature experience of open access,foreign scholars start studying and attempting to promote open access to academic book field.The iconic event was that Open Access Publishing in European Networks(OAPEN)in 2012 issued open access book catalogue DOAB and Springer to carry out Springer Open books.At present,overseas countries have been kept in the initial stage in practice as a whole,but lots of successful experience(feasible open access publishing mode)provides references for open access of Chinese academic books.Thus,it may find out a new way out to dissolve publishing crisis for academic books.Beginning with publishing science,the author studied four key problems on the basis of studying and summarizing open access practice experience of overseas academic books,including publishing mode,quality control,copyright permission and technical support.In the end,the author proposed suggestion on carrying out access open for Chinese academic books.The specific research contents in this paper were shown as follows:In chapter 1,the author elaborated topic research background and significance,domestic and overseas research status and proposed the research innovation based on it;In chapter 2,the author firstly elaborated basic concept of open access and focused on introducing emergence of open access for academic books and development status at home and abroad;In the chapter 3,by taking open access projects(or platforms)of overseas academic books,the author summarized and concluded six typical publishing modes in academic books,analyzed respective advantages anddisadvantages in six typical publishing modes;In the chapter 4,Study importance and control method of quality control in the open access academic books;In the chapter 5,discourse the applicability of copyright permission in the open access,overview the application status of Creative Commons in in the open access academic books;In the chapter 6,Analysis the techniques in the open access academic books.Conclusions,summarized research achievements in this paper and proposed regrets and shortcomings in the study.
