Design And Application Of Multifunctional LED Curtain Controller Based On K64-MCU

LED with its environmental protection,energy saving,long service life and other characteristics,gradually occupies the lighting market.Up to now,LED lighting has not only played a fundamental role in visual function,but gradually developed into the satisfaction of comfort and beauty.As a kind of LED lighting,LED curtain is developing rapidly.Currently,the controller for LED curtain on the market is almost using ARM + FPGA dual-processors architecture.The cost of this scheme is high,the control is relatively complex and the portability is poor.To this end,a design of LED curtain controller based on ARM chip is designed which is simple,efficient and flexible,to control the cost in a certain range on the basis of the realization of various necessary functions.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The controller uses K64 which is based on Cortex-M4 launched by NXP as the control chip,equipped with real-time operating system MQX-Lite,uses distributed storage technology,and puts forward the overall design scheme of the system which supporting heterogeneous layout.(2)After the completion of the overall design,according to the modular design principle,six modules including ethernet gateway,reading and writing SD card,DMX signal output,GPS time synchronization,cascade control and LCD touch screen are designed and tested.(3)Some key technologies and innovations in the design,such as the output parallelism of the DMX channel,the time synchronization problem of multiple controllers,integrity of the file transfer and so on,are deeply discussed in the paper.(4)Doing an overall test from the two aspects of function and performance of the controller,including the integrity and transmission distance of the DMX signals,and remote file update rate,etc.In order to verify the feasibility of the design,multiple LED video/graphic were tested on a LED curtain which has a group of 40 * 64 pixels.Experiences prove that the LED curtain controller has the characteristics of low cost,stable operation and high precision,which is suitable for large and medium LED curtain control system.
