| Since the 20th century,along with the development of science and technology,various audio-visual archives such as photography,record,and video come into being.These archives mainly take traditional magnetic materials as carriers,which greatly enrich the extension of archives,and largely promote the development of the cause of archives.However,these audio-visual archives are diverse regarding their type,data and the environments of preservation,which brings great challenges to archives and archive professionals in terms of management and protection.Therefore,archive professionals should emphasize the preservation of audio-visual archives,rescue the memory of history,and enhance the preservation and development of audio-visual archives.However,in practice,there are inadequacies in audio-visual archives preservation,which is an urge problem for the professionals to provide solutions to.Firstly,this paper describes the research background and meaning,analyzes the relevant theories at home and abroad,and then sketches the objectives,methodologies,and contents of research.Second,the paper studies the basic theories about the protection of audio-visual archives,states the relationship between conservation technology and management of archives,and narrates the practical experiences in the protection of audio-visual archives at home and abroad.Thirdly,based on various research methodologies,together with the author's own working experiences,the paper starts with the preservation of audio-visual archives in Tianjin,focuses on many existing problems,and carries out further analyses on the causes.Finally,with regard to such problems in the preservation of audio-visual archives in Tianjin as lacking of ideology,imperfect system,deficient standard,shortage of talents,and lagged rescue work,the paper puts forward corresponding solutions from the aspects of strengthening the awareness,completing standards,establishing the protection base,and so forth. |
