With the development and popularity of information technology,traditional sectors,like equipment-intensive industry and manufacturing industry,are facing challenges of management innovation.Within these industries,normally,daily management is conducted manually,from which quite some problems and hidden safety troubles are liable to occur.Among these problems is that run-down equipment leaves no detailed record,or incidents happens because of non-standard management.Along with the above,disordered workshop or office environment is liable to cause kinds of paper document missing or damaged.All these can be traced back to rough manual management.These factors,of course,shall have a bad influence on production efficiency.Therefore,it is considered as a controversial topic in society that how to improve production efficiency and aid traditional sectors to transform their management system with IT technology.In this paper,an informational equipment management system for certain traditional sector user in Foshan City is proposed.Comparing with prior systems,this one focuses on a more advanced method and technology in static management.With it,an integrated equipment management system can be established.Combined with specific conditions,in this system,PDA hand-held terminal,bar code and equipment sensor are applied to update equipment conditions lively,which differs from traditional informational management system.With this,paperless office and a leading rank within China in management shall be realized.The system takes JAVA EE component structure and programming with component and object,both of which count for much in realizing business requirement diaphaneity,system development and technology transform.Based on B/S structure,the system takes standard JAVA.Terminal users can apply EAM(short of Enterprise Asset Management)base class to create new applications.Besides,in EAM,kinds of business can be managed at the same time without modifying original standard components.All in all,EAM is the most suitable platform to build life cycle information system for enterprise equipment and asset.
