With the evolution of the industrial structure in global context,the family structure in modern society evolves into a tendency of nucleation,miniaturization and no-kinship,which causes the decrease of interaction between parents and their children.As a result,the lack of physical caring and emotional caring can easily affect the physical and psychological well being of the young children.In view of this phenomenon,a number of children companion robots are emerging in the market and has become the focus in recent years;however,there are still drawbacks as to the interaction and content of companion products that makes it difficult for users.This thesis is featured on the design and application of remote parent-child interaction in fields of children companion robots.Firstly,an observation and analysis was carried out on the research target,groups of 3 to 6year-old preschool children,in their physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics.Through multiple research methods,the author discovers the status quo,the usual pattern as well as demands of parent-children interaction.According to the findings,the author promotes a remote parent-child interaction theory from aspects of definition,content and features,applying scientific design methods and experiences to concluded his strategy of remote parent-child interaction with which he believes can be used a sample in deign practice of related areas.To achieve the unity of knowledge and purpose,the author did his design practice under the guidance of theoretical research outcomes,made his design to best fit customers' demands from both children end and mobile end with the adults.Finally,with and effort to improve the feasibility of proposed theory and strategy,a process of verification throughout the design practice is done also by using author's design strategy.Dismissing the pursuit of the traditional high intelligent human-machine interaction design of the children companion products,this thesis concerns more about the irreplaceable the parent-child relationships and human-human interactionapproach the could assist in fostering relationships between human-beings.Here,high intelligent technologies are not used for replacing strong emotional bond but improving emotional interaction between parents and their children,helping the children grow healthily under the ever-present company of their parents.
