Since the 1990 s,the hyperspectral images were practically used in several areas of space remote sensing,geological exploration,scientific research and investigation so that the technology of the hyperspectral imager was improving fast.High-resolution hyperspectral imaging technology has become more sophisticated,and with the improving of image resolution continuously,the amount of information rapidly increased.Thus,the increasing of the amount of image data presented to the requirements of storage space,channel-width,higher speed real-time processing and so on.Meanwhile,hyperspectral image acquisition cost is very high,and lossy compression mode can't keep the integrity of the data.Thus,the main content of this research is hyperspectral image lossless compression technology for focusing on the introduction of the JPEG-LS algorithms to implement this lossless compression algorithm by the FPGA.Here introduces the basic definition of hyperspectral data,and a brief introduction of the principles of imaging spectrometer.And the correlation of the hyperspectral image is classified and analyzed according to its own features.Meanwhile,here outline the introduction several-years hyperspectral image lossless compression technology,and classify.After that,lead to basic coding knowledge,and detailed introduction to the JPEG-LS standard and its core theoretical basis LOCO-I algorithm.The general distribution model is created for the image,and the actual data is corrected so that the statistical distribution will be suitable for coding Columbus process,and it gives a detailed algorithm processing,and the flow-jumping mode.In this process,a detailed interpretation of the formula is used for explaining the origin of the algorithmic processing in order to further improve the algorithm.Based on this algorithm,the fourth chapter briefly introduces the FPGA development in recent years,and a brief introduction to Xilinx's FPGA product and its supporting ISE software development environment.With the previous section clearly algorithms distribution processing,JPEG-LS algorithm for hardware implementation is divided into three major modules: predictive and output value module,running or normal coding module,the timing control module,and on the basis of the completion of the code the software Isim is used to do the simulation of each module and obtains the correct final result of coding.
