The core researches of this paper is focused on the optimization of CCSDS losslesshyperspectral image compression algorithm and logic implementation of OCPC algorithm,and in the thorough analysis CCSDS lossless hyperspectral image compression standard. Thekey problems of lossless image compression system based on FPGA is studied in structuraldesign, mainly contains the following parts:Firstly, this paper analyzes the latest lossless hyperspectral image compression algorithmof CCSDS is released by CCSDS and has combined with the JPEG-LS coding characteristicof lossless compression algorithm, then the CCSDS algorithm is optimized and puts forwardOCPC algorithm. At the same time OCPC algorithm is implemented by FPGA. Theimplementation of FPGA adopts the thought of assembly line and modular design andincludes predictor module and encoder module.Finally, this paper discusses the optimization and the FPGA implementation of CCSDSalgorithm, including the optimization of algorithm, system structure design, module design,algorithm validation, FPGA implementation and simulation of algorithm in the wholeprocessing. Algorithm uses two kinds of prediction model and Golomb Rice coding methodin the optimization; In the design and implementation of CCSDS algorithm (OCPC algorithm)is based on FPGA, with ISE13.3is provided by the Xilinx company as the developmentplatform, it uses VHDL logic description ways and can satisfy a wide adjustable losslesscompression system of hyperspectral image.Then the simulation and the comprehensiveverification are carried out in this design. Results show that the system has realized all therequirements of the OCPC algorithm. In the further follow-up of its hardware timing simulation it isexpected to steady system of space-borne hyperspectral image real-time lossless compression,to reduce the bandwidth of transmission, reduce the storage space and improve thetransmission efficiency of target.
