Forest environment is complex, wide, and with a lot of uncertainty, and the forest resources information is the main basis for forestry planning and decision-making. At present, forest resources collection requires more monitoring nodes, while it collect a large amount of data. The forest resources acquisition system based on Zigbee and embedded technology provides a new model, which will set a large number of sensor nodes in the forest area, these nodes networking automatically through Zigbee wireless sensor network to realize the automatic collection and transmission of forest resource. This paper focused on the following aspects of study and implementation of forest resource collection system based on Zigbee and embedded technology:1. On the basic analysis of forest resources collection system functional requirements combine with energy consumption, signal strength and transmission distance, proposed general design plan for forest resources collection system and forest node arrangement. According to the overall system architecture, working principle and low power consumption, real-time and reliability requirements, introduced embedded terminal based on the OMAP3730, GPS and 4G transmission module, discussed Zigbee wireless sensor network hardware selection and circuit design, completed the hardware circuit design of coordinator node and sensor nodes based on CC2530 and solar energy charge circuit based on MPPT.2. For software, based on the analysis of software architecture and networking mode, completed Zigbee wireless sensor network software development, including coordinator node application program design and sensor node application design based on Z-Stack protocol stack, because life environment parameters delayed and extended sensor nodes, so used a periodic regular data collection mode for sensor node. After the transplant system simultaneously serial communication program between coordinator module and the embedded terminal, built Linux cross-compiler environment, and through Qt Creator to build a man-machine interface, multi-threaded scheduling complete GPS locator and 4G transmission program development. Completed the program of solar energy based on MPPT.3. The system experiments and data collection in wireless networking transmissions tested and found to verify the feasibility of the forest resource collection system.Through several experiments and joint commissionings, the hardware and software parts of the system were functioning properly, the hardware was highly integrated and full-featured, and the software interface was rich in content with good real-time interaction. It was good to complete the desired design. Effectively solved the problem of the single data format, the repeat survey data and the greater labor intensity etc. in the resource collection system. Greatly improving the efficiency of resource acquisition and achieve a digitized collection.
