The pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna has the advantages of light structure, small size, easy integration with other devices, different azimuth scanning of the pattern and other prominent advantages, which make it become the research hotspot of reconfigurable antenna now. The main work of this paper is expanded around the microstrip antenna. The purpose of my work is to achieve the goal of the antenna pattern reconfigurable while its working frequency is unchanged. To this end, I study hard and make a lot of simulation researchs, and achieve some results. On this basis, the paper is finished. Combine with the research status of pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna, four kinds of pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna are designed in this paper. Then I combine their working frequency band with the practical application and do some simulation debugging and analyses. Specifically, the main work is the following:Firstly, according to the design purposes, a design method to achieve the structure of dual-frequency working of the microstrip antenna is chosen. On the basis of this work, a new structure of pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna with dual-frequency working is designed.By controlling the switch state of the antenna, its pattern of the current state is orthogonally reconstructed with the pattern of the state after the change. This antenna has characteristics of simple structure and high gain. Then one of its models is processed and tested, reach good experimental results.Secondly, combining with the actual application, I make improvement in the structure on the basis of the previously designed antenna. So that its low frequency resonant point can be applied to 2.4GWiFi frequency band, which enhances the practicality of the antenna.Thirdly, another pattern reconfigurable microstrip antenna which can scan 360 degrees around the Z-axis is designed. Combined with the practical application of the new generation of high-speed SGWiFi frequency band, I make its high-frequency band can be applied to China's 5GWiFi frequency band by debugging the antenna. The antenna has characteristics of wide bandwidth, wide beam coverage, more channels covered and high gain.Fourthly, On the basis of the third work, I adjust the size of the antenna, so that its working frequency band can be applied to the 2.4GWiFi and 5GWiFi frequency band requirements.Then one of its models is manufactured, measured and analyzed.
